It’s the middle of our 4th year here at Jubilee Suites and we are still renovating! We started with updating the suites; then revamping our living quarters, the catering kitchen and large group areas; and then the suites again! Last year we painted the entire outside and completely overhauled the landscaping. This year we’re working on more changes to the outside, especially the beach area. Jim and I can’t wait to show our returning guests the many improvements we’ve made since their last visits. And we’ve got more upgrades on the horizon. Stay tuned!
Our new beach renovation is finishing just in time to host Social Feasts, an outdoor grilling extravaganza filming here at the end of October 2021. Social Feasts is a “5-day outdoor experiential cooking adventure, featuring the most influential outdoor chefs, grill and pitmasters globally.” These grillmasters will be cooking over live fire as they set up their grills in various locations on the property for dozens of grilling events and feasts. And it’s all going to be filmed right here and streamed over social media! We’re actually sponsoring the event with our luxury lodging so we’re excited to meet the chefs, the filmmakers and all the crew once they get here.
Long term, we expect the new additions to our beach area to be a beautiful and helpful upgrade for our guests. We’ve moved a shipping container that had been used for storage on the beach to a more convenient location and we’ve got a crew turning it into a beach shack with a restroom, shower, deck with chairs, and storage for our beach equipment. We’re also excited about an adjacent outdoor performance stage and viewing area for our very musical staff and friends to play for our guests once in a while. We also plan to build a new series of stairs and decks down to the beach area. We can’t wait for the job to be finished. Meanwhile, here are some photos of the work in progress.
