Spring Break at Jubilee Suites

When our 3 boys were little, we always looked forward to a family vacation during spring break. Reminiscing about that time together as a family, I remember reconnecting with each other and being free of the responsibilities of everyday life. Depending on where we lived, sometimes we visited relatives in Minnesota, Texas, or Missouri, sometimes we went to the beach, and sometimes the mountains, and we usually stayed at private houses that catered to families. At Jubilee Suites, Jim and I try to recreate that joyful time for our guests who come for family vacations.

We love the waterfront living that defines Fairhope, and our private beach is so much fun for the whole family. It's great for fishing, wading, kayaking, paddleboarding, picnicking, or just plain relaxing in our comfy chairs with the kids. We also have a beautiful fire pit on the beach and offer a Bonfire on the Beach Package that includes a custom menu for your family- roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, beverages, and an attendant all evening to build and keep the fire going. The stars are beautiful from our beach on Mobile Bay.

Waterfront living is always an adventure. We live in a birdwatcher's paradise, and our many feeders keep the entertainment going all day. Bring your binoculars!

We also offer free use of our kayaks and paddleboards for guests, so your family can see Fairhope from the water of Mobile Bay. Whatever you do, don't miss out on kayaking into the Bay. Whether you go in the early morning at sunrise or the evening at sunset, this may be one of the highlights of your family vacation. The Bay is quite shallow, and it's fun to travel up and down the shoreline and see other pretty waterfront homes and piers, a huge variety of shore birds, and sometimes dolphins or even manatees in the Bay waters. If you like, we can also set you up on a private sightseeing cruise with a captain who will point out some of the history and special hidden treasures along the shore.

We have built in lots of seating areas around our property also, most with amazing Bay views. Find one you love and enjoy a couple of hours of solitude with coffee, wine, or a good book and feel your body unwind. Your west-facing suite also offers a private balcony or patio to enjoy with coffee or my special blend of tea each morning. You can also view one of our ever-changing, always-amazing sunsets from your suite or around our fire pit at dusk. 

 

One of the things Jim and I like to do on vacation is to spend extra time on our fitness goals. At Jubilee Suites, we offer a variety of ways you can continue or even jump-start your own program. Besides walking and biking trails right next to our property, guests at Jubilee Suites can schedule a variety of yoga and fitness classes in town. We also provide sanitized mats in your suite so you can sign in to your online program in your suite or continue your regular workouts at Fairhope Fitness Center. Or for personalized yoga or fitness classes, give us a call to reserve a private session with one of Fairhope's fine instructors.

No visit to Jubilee Suites is complete without spending time in our amazing little town. It's fun to wander around and see all the unique galleries, boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops, book stores, jewelry stores, and SO much more! And no visit to Fairhope would be complete without a sunset visit to the Fairhope Pier. Many call this our unofficial town square, and you'll love to see where the locals hang out at sunset. Always a unique experience, we recommend taking a picnic or taking the family to one of our many family-friendly restaurants after the sun goes down. We've arranged to make 4 of our suites dog-friendly so you can travel with your well-behaved family pet. Choose from the Dogwood, the Charlotte, the New Orleans, or the Magnolia, and book your furry friend at the same time as your suite, so we can make the arrangements for both you and your dog to be comfortable. Be sure to read and follow our Pet Policy before you come. We also recommend you bring some of your dog's own things so he feels right at home. We ask that you take your dog with you when you leave your suite, if possible, and that you take advantage of our dog-walking service if you'll be gone longer than two hours.

We've got 3 suites that are perfect for families. Our Azalea, Camellia, and Dogwood Suites each feature 2 big bedrooms and a fold-out sofa to sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children. Each one also has two full bathrooms, a full-size and fully-equipped kitchen, and a great room with a family-size dining table and living room. Our family loved staying at Dana and Jim’s place! It was a perfect space for our family of four right on the Bay and close to town. They have done a fantastic job on the grounds which are immaculate, with lots of beach toys for the kids. We didn’t have an opportunity to use the kayaks but plan to on our next stay. Breakfast was great and our boys enjoyed their cooked to order pancakes and eggs. The unit was tastefully decorated and we really appreciated having a washer/dryer in unit and full kitchen. We were a  family group of two adults, a 5-year-old and a 14-year-old plus a puppy dog. We all had a fabulous time at this magical place & we were made to feel so welcome. It was beyond our expectations - the beautiful location with a garden overlooking the bay, the sunsets around the firepit, the delicious breakfasts, meeting other guests as well as the gracious owners, the thoughtful extras provided in our apartment decorated with local art, the private beach with beach chairs, kayaks and fishing... The owners offer local advice such as where to eat, shop, and visit. Fairhope is within walking distance with lots of interesting shops and cafes.  The kids had a great time - Dana was so kind and patient with our daughter. Thank you for a memorable stay. If you are looking to visit the Gulf shores, Jubilee Suites in Fairhope is truly the hidden gem of Alabama. The Azalea was perfect and had an absolutely beautiful view of the bay. The pictures online do not do it justice. Everything about this place is beautiful! Kayaking on the bay, walking the private beach, sitting by the fire, stargazing and birdwatching. Jim and Dana went out of their way to make us feel at home. The snacks and candy in our room along with fresh flowers in every room were just a couple of the things that added to our experience. They even gave us gift certificates to use downtown while shopping. Breakfast was so good every morning and the company even better.  Jim, Dana, and Christy were always so much fun to talk to and were genuinely interested in our experiences. The location was perfect! We were able to enjoy the peacefulness of Fairhope but still very easily travel to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores as well as the USS Battleship Alabama. The Azalea was our home away from home for our  vacation this year. We had a great time making memories. Our girls even had a blast playing with their sweet kitty, Meeko! Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Jubilee Suites. We spent the week loving our space and beautiful views from the 3rd floor. The private balcony was incredible for sunrises and sunsets.
